This site describes the (U.S and international) patent-pending EPA process for controlling the receipt and transmission processing of Internet and intranet/LAN e-mail.

The EPA process is specifically engineered to be integrated into existing (and future) e-mail software products and e-mail systems - not to be implemented as a stand-alone product. Limited-feature versions of the EPA process have been implemented as UNIX® 'sendmail' filters and have been operational since October 2002.
