Default Preference Set

An organization that wishes EPA to manage all domain mailboxes can install a Default Preference Set.

Then, if there is no Preference Set associated with a mailbox, the Default Preference Set criteria will be applied.

In this type of domain, only mailboxes possessing associated Preference Sets will not be subject to the content of the Default Preference Set.

In an ISP owned domain, a Default Set can exist only with the consent of all mailbox lessees.

The User-ID assigned to the Set must be unique and not duplicate that of any other actual domain mailbox.

Should you not employ this Set, domain mailboxes can be exempted from EPA management simply by not defining an EPA mailbox for it.
