The Mailroom is an FTP-enabled account you create on your mail server.
Window Clerk's client-side software uses the FTP account to communicate with the Mail Clerk's server-side software.
Mailroom folders contain: 1. Mail Clerk software 2. Mail Boxes 3. Mail Clerk operations records.
After the FTP account is created, the Window Clerk helps you create a basic minimum EPA process definition that will be further extended and customized to reflect your domain's operations
The Window Clerk then helps: 1. You to create and install an initial inventory and hierarchy of mailboxes. 2. Users customize their mailboxes.
When you are ready to activate EPA operation in your domain, you: 1. Install EPA's server-side components on your mail server. 2. Link Mail Clerk components to the MTA(s) of the mail server. 3. Reboot the mail server.
Thereafter, you use the Window Clerk to control Mail Clerk operations and Mailbox inventory..
