An EPA System Supervisor ("SysSuper") must exist for every EPA-managed domain. At a minimum, there must always exist someone who can: o Create EPA mailboxes o Delete EPA mailboxes o Broadcast messages to all mailboxes. o Receive messages from all mailboxes o Replace lost mailbox keys o Reconfigure mailboxes o Audit domain performance.
An System Administrator ("SysAdmin") position may be formally defined and staffed by the domain owner. An owner-appointed SysAdmin can: o Exercise all of the SysSuper functions. o Via the Window Clerk, operate on any mailbox as if they were the mailbox owner. o Specify traffic filtering criteria and mail management processing which take precedence over those specified by the mailbox user.
In the absence of such formal definition, EPA appoints the system installer the SysSuper by default.
