Mailbox Admin Operations

Top  Previous  Next

Your CLIC b_MailboxSet allows you to begin one or more operations on one or more mailboxes

Enter a Target Mailbox User-ID (or a number of them) to display the complete selection of mailbox-oriented operations.

All User-ID's are operated on in lower-case ("Xerox" same as "xerox") mode because all URL content reduced to lower-case prior to Internet use.

The validity of a Target Mailbox User-ID can only be determined after you select an operation.  You will not be permitted to create a mailbox with a User-ID that duplicates that of an existing mailbox.  All other operations can only be performed on an existing mailbox.  If you input multiple User-IDs, each will be validated.

If multiple User-ID's are input, the useable and unuseable ID's  are displayed for you.

Pressing SORT repeatedly causes the input entries to be (lower case) sorted and cycle the display through ascending- then descending- then original input order.

Select the operation you'll perform from the "Operation ?" list from the following choices:

       o Create

       o Delete

           o Edit

       o ReSet Key

       o ReConfigure

       o Change Admin

       o Add Admin

       o Remove Admin

The operation you select will be displayed in the "Now!" button.  All operations require that you confirm the performance request after you CLIC the "Now!" button. The selected operation proceeds using only the useable UserIDs and ignoring the others. This option is particularly useful to cull out duplicate entries when importing multiple address books with overlapping entries.

Create Mailbox

If you are creating mailboxes, the Admin User-ID you logged in with will be recorded as the SysAdmin or SysSuper of the new boxes.

Selecting 'Create'  displays the potential mailbox configurations which you can impose.

If you are a SysAdmin, you may select any of the configurations.  If you are a SysSuper, you cannot create a SysAdmin.

Every User-ID you provide for this operation is checked against the Mailroom inventory to avoid Mailbox User-ID duplication.

For this operation, you specify the configuration to be used for the mailbox(es) created by selecting one entry from the "Configuration ?" listi:

   For organization-owned-and-operated domains:

       o  Internet Access

           o  Internal Only
