Filtering Criteria Format

Top  Previous  Next

EPA Preference Set filtering criteria cab be expressed as either a "list" or a "table".

Consider the following forms of the entries in a category...

          "List":                                                "Table:"

    pcforms

The EPA Mail Clerk's functioning is dependent only upon Column #1 content in a Preference Category.  In both formats, Column #1 entries are identical.

When information provided in additional columns is supplied to the EPA/MTA  Interface, more precise post-classification processing can be performed.

EPA operates at the same priority level as the MTA and may access any process and shell job resident in the host system.

As shown in the example, the addition of two columns allows a finer discrimination of processing based on whether the mail is being Received from or Transmitted.to the Internet.
