CABINET OF CURIOSITIES
POINTS CONFUSING
'NO' once meant 'OK'
At one time, an office of the Catholic Church reviewed manuscipts prior to 'publication'(copying) to ensure that the content
was not in conflict with Church doctrine and teachings. If there was no conflict, the office assigned the classification
'nihil obstat' (Latin for 'nothing obstructs') to indicate that the document was approved by the Church. Hence, the abbreviation 'NO'
meant the document content was 'OK' by Church standards. (For some frustrating exercise, try to determine the etymology of 'no' with
your favorite search engine.)

How do those making this statement obtain food, medical care, housing, etc? Do you know of anyone but the wealthy and college students
whose lifestyle can be supported without obtaining compensation in return for productive output? Please tell me so I can do it!!!
