EPA DOMAIN ADMINISTRATION
As System/E-mail Administrator of an EPA(-process-managed) domain, you have complete management control of every e-mail which passes
through the domain's mail server host system. Within the EPA process, available functionality provides the means to:
- Structure the EPA software to support both personal/ISP/ESP and organizational e-mail environments.
- Delegate authority for mailbox management to support domain operational purposes.
- Integrate the EPA process smoothly into an existing domain with only a scheduled, insignificant interruption of service.
- Record and report every e-mail transaction which occurs in the domain.
- Significantly reduce the Administrator's domain-maintenance tasks and associated workload.
NOTE! Please see the "Introduction to EPA" Chapter of the EPAmail
Service User Manual if you have not already done so. The following discussions are presented in the context of the environment and
using the terminology described there.
The following pages provide you with a sequenced functional overview of the tasks you need to perform in applying EPA to a domain.
EPA licensees' implementations will determine the available functionalities and the specifics of each task. A complete set of pages
is in preparation but are not yet available.
EPA's life-cycle in a domain consists of 5 phases:
1. Domain Configuration
2. Installation Preparation
3. Installation
4. Installation Testing
5. In Service Operation
