Installing the EPAmail Service

EPAmail Service Requirements

To install and utilize the EPAmail Service, you must have the following:

• One of the following operating systems: Windows© XP, Windows© 2000, Windows© ME, Windows© 98SE, or Windows© NT.
• An active Internet connection.
• At least one e-mail mailbox
• The EPA Mailbox ID and Installation Password supplied to you.
• A copy of the EPA Mail Window software (can be obtained either by download using Internet Explorer© or on CD via "snail mail" .

Mail Window Installation Preparation

If you have an installation CD, place it in your CD drive. The CD will start automatically and you can proceed to install the software ... OR ... Download the software from the Internet, and accept the digital signature when prompted. (Note: This software can only be downloaded with Internet Explorer©.)

Mail Window Software Installation and Initialization

1. Type the Installation Password when prompted and press Enter key or click OK.
2. The InstallShield© Wizard will guide you through the remaining steps of the installation procedure.
3. Close the installation window.
4. The EPA Window Clerk software is now installed and can be started with a click on the desktop EPA Mail Window icon.
5. A 'Help' button on each screen provides access to the EPAmail Service User Manual.
6. The 'Quick Mailbox Initialization' topic of the EPAmail Service User Manual provides a 'by-the-numbers' expedited procedure to assist you in customizing the software to your preferences.

EPA Mail Window installation is completed! Arriving e-mail will now be filtered as specified by your preferences until such time as you modify them.
