The Domain Group Directory is a data structure which need only be present in the EPA Mail Room only if EPA Mail Groups are permitted in the domain.
The necessary and sufficient content of the Directory is set forth below.
The Domain Group Directory contains:
1. A Group Mail Room Locator - which lists the names of all Groups that have been created in the domain and the location of the Group Mail Room.
2. A Group Membership Locator - which enumerates each EPA Mailbox ID enrolled in a Group, the name of the associated Group, and whether the ID is that of a Group Administrator or a Group Member, .
For each defined Group, the Group Mail Room contains:
1. The Group's Mail Traffic Log
2. The Group's Preferences Set History
3. The Group's Current Preferences Set.
Both the Mail Room Locator and the Membership Locator are maintained by the EPA Window Clerk.
The EPA Mail Clerk accesses both as needed to determine which Preferences Set is to be applied to an e-mail.
There need be no separate user-accessible functionality to display the content of this Directory since individual Group Administrators can view it at any time in the Window Clerk's Processing Preferences dialogue.
