Introduction to EPA

E-mail Processing Agent (EPA) is standardized cross-platform e-mail filtering and management software that can be integrated into and operate synchronously with all existing and future e-mail server software packages.

EPA provides filtering, classification and post-classification processing of Internet and intranet/LAN e-mail traffic for organizational, enterprise, ISP, ESP and personal e-mail domains.

EPA classifies e-mail as "wanted" or "unwanted" by comparing the text of mailbox-owner-specified, categorized criteria - termed a Preferences Set - to applicable e-mail field content. If ANY comparison result is 'equal', the mail is classified 'wanted'. If ALL comparison results are 'not equal', the mail is classified 'unwanted'.

Because each criteria-to-content comparison can only yield an 'equal' or 'not equal' result, the methodology generates absolutely no false 'wanted' classifications AND absolutely no false 'unwanted' classifications. Since it's classification is 100%-accurate, EPA identifies and processes all e-mail - including 100% of "spam" - according to the owner's personal, precise, exact specifications.

On your desktop, there's Otto Bust@25 OTTO, the EPA Window Clerk process, which communicates your instructions and information requests - via an

to your domain's EPA Mail Room, where Mail Clerk AUTO, the EPA Mail Clerk process, manages and controls 1) ALL domain Internet and intranet e-mail traffic; and 2) ALL domain e-mail reception and transmission; and 3) all e-mail traffic EPA processing records.

Otto and Auto operate cooperatively but independently using a mailbox-name-associated, owner-created information structure - the "Preferences Set" - to communicate with each other.

A Preferences Set contains all of the information required to filter and process incoming and outgoing, personal and organizational, Internet and intranet e-mail associated with one (or more) mailbox(es).

Otto will, from your desktop, provide you with access as many EPA Mail Rooms as you require. Auto, at a mail server host system, services one or more EPA Mail Rooms as required and configured.
