All EPA Mailbox owners may choose to specify zero, one or more entries - of the type indicated - in the following Preferences Categories:
... a trusted correspondent's complete e-mail address or UserName or Domain Name.
... the EPA Mailbox ID of a mailbox used for general public correspondence.
... a text pattern whose appearance in an e-mail makes that e-mail 'wanted'.
... the EPA Mailbox ID of a mailbox used to initiate contact with previously unknown correspondents while controlling e-mail responses from that contact.
preferences allow mailbox owners to specify EPA Mail Clerk processing options which - depending on domain type and Mail Clerk software implementation - may include:
1. Specification of the human language expected to occur in Text Content Fields.
2. Mail traffic transaction logging 'on' or 'off'.
NOTE: Due to EPAmail implementation choices, EPAmail's Options Preferences include 1.) Post-classification processing of 'wanted' mail; and, 2.) Post-classification disposition of 'unwanted' mail. Other EPA implementations will have different content for the Options Preferences.
EPA Group Administrators can specify entries in the following Preferences Categories:
... the EPA Mailbox ID of a Group mailbox used to initiate contact with previously unknown correspondents while controlling e-mail responses from that contact.
... a domain name or name fragment whose appearance in an e-mail's address field makes that e-mail 'wanted'.
... a text pattern whose appearance in an e-mail's Text makes that e-mail 'wanted'
... the EPA Mailbox ID of a Group Administrator whose appearance in an e-mail's 'FROM' field makes that e-mail 'wanted'.
Only the owner (or appointed System/E-mail Administrators) of an OOD can specify entries in the following Preferences Categories:
... a domain name or name fragment whose appearance in an e-mail's address field makes that e-mail 'wanted'.
... a text pattern whose appearance in an e-mail's Text makes that e-mail 'wanted'
... the EPA Mailbox ID of a System/E-mail Administrator whose appearance in an e-mail's 'FROM' field makes that e-mail 'wanted'.
NOTE: Criteria specified by an EPA Group Administrator are applied to Group traffic ONLY. All criteria specified by the domain's System Administrator, if any, will be applied to Group traffic BEFORE application of the Group's criteria
